Morning everyone, how has your week been so far?.
We're busy preparing for Mother's Day & Easter in the shop with more deliveries to check & price & displays to move around.
I've had a busy craft week too with 2 Mother's day cards to make, my Mum & Dad's Anniversary card, some birthday cards & all of the packs to prepare for our March workshop dates for
Out Of The Blue.
I'm glad the weekend is approaching! & I think the weather is set to be good too so that will be nice & lift everyone's spirits a little.
My Mum & Dad celebrated their Wedding Anniversary this week so here's the card I made for them.
It was made using texture paste through a Sweet Poppy stencil that we stock in the shop.
The stencil is Deco Heart & once embossed with the texture paste & allowed to dry I then heated it with my heat tool until I created lots of tiny bubbles all over the surface of the heart.
If you try this technique while the paste is still wet it creates much larger, randomly sized bubbles.
Here's a close up of my heated heart.
I inked around the heart with dusty concord distress ink to make the heart pop a bit more.
Next I created my background by stamping the floral swirls stamp from the Indigoblu Wild Meadow A5 set with dusty Concorde around the edges of some purple card.
I stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment in dusty concord onto cream card, inked around the edge & mat & layered onto purple & more cream card.
This was then stuck into place on my card with 3d foam pads.
The final touches were to add a few antique gold gems & to decorate the inside.
It ended up being a bit darker than I had first intended when I began making the card, but I quite like the finished result.
Hope you do too.
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.
